2D Delao Joy's Lily was our first nubian purchase. She broke us into ownership of goats. As a wild yearling, we struggled to take care of her, slowly taming her over the next year until she kidded. She set the bar high, and as a first freshening 2 year old, she gave us 8 lbs of milk consistently.  She quickly became the standard that was set for our future stock, as we continued to search for the perfect line of Nubians to meet our needs. We have retained two daughters of Lily, Obsidian who milks 11 lbs consistently as a first freshening yearling, and Poppy, who is due to freshen in 2017. Lily was sold to a good friend, as a starter for her herd. We will miss her, as she helped us learn a great deal about goats in the years that we had her.
